FC Lo, JP
We begin Mr Lo’s long history within the can manufacturing industry when he oversaw the establishment of M.C. Packaging (HK) Limited in 1978; one of the first four plants established in the Tai Po Industrial Estate. Moving on, he established his first business contact in China with the Tsingtao Brewery Corporation in Qingdao city. Later, Mr. Lo went on to catch the attention of the industry when his first Mainland China business venture, M.C. Packaging Limited (Guangzhou) achieved the honor of China's Top Ten Best Sino-Foreign Joint Venture Enterprises for five consecutive years, ranking first in China for two of those years.
Mr. Lo’s greatest success in the business was his export of easy-open ends/lids from Hong Kong to Taiwan, accounting for almost half of the total use of easy-open lids from Taiwan Can manufactures in the 80s. Mr. Lo also made several successful investments in the central and western regions of china, those being Xi’an Kunlun Football and Hubei Football; which were both rated as outstanding foreign-invested enterprises in the province for many years throughout the 90s. Mr. Lo also provided the first beverage can of “Tsingtao Beer, “Jianlibao”, and the first spray cans of Zhongshan Fine Chemical’s “Mizaholing”.

Company Progression
In 1991, Mr. Lo founded FTB Packaging Limited and obtained Ball Corporation, a U.S Fortune 500 Company, to join as a major shareholder. FTB then went on to make large-scale capital and technological investments into the Can Manufacturing industry in mainland China, In early 1997, FTB managed to acquire and privatize M.C. Packaging Limited (Hong Kong) and in 2000, the group invested more than 400 million US dollars into China. At this point, FTB has acquired more than 20 wholly-owned and joint venture enterprises, covering all of the major provinces and cities in China. In 2001, Mr. Lo acquired numerous three-piece can and plastic bottle businesses in mainland China and Hong Kong from Ball and founded the F.C. Packaging Group, which now owns the original factory and operations of M.C. Packaging in Tai Po. The FC Packaging group has joint ventures with COFCO to operate 2 large-scale manufacturing plants in Hangzhou and Guangzhou, and wholly-owns another manufacturing plant in Jiangmen. In 2005, due to China’s goal of revitalizing the old industry base of Northeast China, Mr. Lo signed a contract with Harbin Light Industries Asset Management Limited AKA as “Harbin Light”to set up FC Packaging (Harbin) Limited.
Giving Back to the Community
Mr. Lo is one of the few entrepreneurs who have set up factories in Mainland China but continues to employ local workers to oversee production in Hong Kong. Entrusting in his motto of “From the Community, To the Community”.
Mr. Lo has been actively involved in public services in both Hong Kong and the Mainland and has won numerous awards for his deeds.
